Some sock patterns you have to try this winter…

Have you knitted any sock patterns by our chum, Virginia Sattler-Reimer?

We absolutely love all the fun sock knitting patterns that Virginia (@ginnisr) has designed and are so happy that so many of them are in Exmoor Sock! She has such a great eye for cables and textures and her pops of colourwork are always an utter delight.

Now that we are expanding our Exmoor Sock palette with some glorious new shades, we are even more excited by all the colour-combos we could put together for our favourite knitting patterns by Virginia!

Colourwork

If you love a bit of colourwork (and Latvian braids!) then the Chrysocolla, Trideco, Landmark, Transatlantic and Jogging in my Mind patterns have a variety of these techniques – mostly in a ‘cuff’ of colourwork, and sometimes with a contrast heel and toe too! Most of these have a little bit of cable detail to add some interest to the rest of the sock as well, and give them a little bit of sophistication and cosiness.

We can just imagine a pair of Landmark Socks in our new ‘Heedy Peep’ shade (a luscious lilac), with a spot of ‘Pollywiggle’ (deep charcoal) and some ‘Mizzle’ and ‘Bell Heather’ for contrast.

Lace and Cables

Or if lace and cables are more your thing then the Drumblebee, Snappily, It’s my Jam, and Working from Home patterns are excellent examples of all-over texture for some luxury socks!

How glorious would a pair of Snappily socks look in our new ‘Oolypuggers’ (vivid green) or ‘Hurdy’ (delectable burgundy) peeking out the top of a pair of winter boots, or below the cuff of your jeans?

We’d also love a pair of Drumblebee socks to keep our toes warm, whether you’re into a practical neutral, like our charcoal ‘Pollywiggle’ shade, or something bright and eye-catching, like our trusty ‘Drumble’ or ‘Oddemdod’.
