Our Alpaca Supreme yarn is breathtakingly soft, lustrous and smooth with sumptuous drape and shine. The addition of Alpaca and Silk in this range make it our softest base and ideal for shawls, accessories and anything else you can think of that might need that extra touch of opulence. We have extended the colour palette and added some subtle dyed shades to accompany the gradient of neutrals. All our new Alpaca Supreme shades are named (rather fittingly) after precious metals, stones and minerals. Who doesn’t love a bit of sparkle?
Like all our yarns at the Mill, Alpaca Supreme is worsted spun which means all the fibres are aligned in the same direction and any shorter fibres (which might be prickly) are combed out. Aligning the fibres in this way accentuates their strength, softness and drape. Supreme is delicately blended by the Mill Folk using superfine Alpaca, soft-as-a-cloud Falklands Merino and A1 Mulberry Silk. When working with these quality fibres, which have been carefully prepared by our expert Mill Folk, you’ll be sure to create an heirloom garment you or a loved one will cherish for years to come.
