Bouquet Sweater Kit by Junko Okamoto
We now offer handy kits of this pattern to celebrate our Mill Open Weekend Special Shades. All kits include enough yarn to make this sweater, a limited edition button badge and a fab project bag to keep it all safe. Happy knitting! We do not stock the pattern ourselves, but you can buy it from Junko’s Ravelry, here.
As part of our annual Mill Open Weekend shenanigans, we always create a limited-edition mini collection of yarn and tops to help celebrate in style. This year we’ve been even more excited than usual, as we’ve been collaborating with some rather fabulous designers! Emily Wessel (Tin Can Knits), Aleks Byrd, and Ysolda Teague-Long have each created custom shades of our beloved Yarnadelic.
We have knitted up some samples using these special shades of Yarnadelic, including Junko’s masterpiece, The Bouquet Sweater.
With it’s simple, boxy shape, crew neck and easy to wear style, the Bouquet is the perfect canvas to show off a gloriously heathered yarn. The addition of Junko’s splendid stranded colourwork is a true thing of beauty, and we love the intricate details and patterns created. Sonja knitted up her sample using our Mill Open Weekend Special, ‘Dark Star’ as the main colour, with our ‘Galleta Guitar’ as the complimentary shade. We’ve also put together a few other colour combos that we think will look fab!
