Rainshine Shawl Kit by Melanie Berg

£57.00

We now offer handy kits of this pattern. All kits include enough yarn to make this beautiful shawl, a limited edition button badge and a fab project bag to keep it all safe. Happy knitting!

We do not stock the pattern ourselves, but you can find it from Melanie herself on her Ravelry page, here.

We completely adore the light and airy Rainshine Shawl by Melanie Berg, knit up in scrummy Appledore DK, adding a pop of bright delight for those in-between weather days. The unique fan-like texture combines lace and ribbing to create this cheerful triangle shawl which we can just imagine draping over our shoulders on those chilly Devon mornings.

Melanie used Appledore DK in ‘Golden Knob’ to make this incredible sample which is a shade that never fails to put a smile on our faces! You’ll find kits to make an identical shawl, as well as other shades we think will look ace, whether you’re into bright, vivid hues, or muted, subtle tones.

Melanie’s patterns all now come with handy ‘Row Maps’. A super-easy and effective way to follow the pattern if you find your concentration tends to slip. This is what Melanie has to say… ‘For about a year now, I’m releasing my shawl patterns with Row Maps and the positive feedback is overwhelming. We had originally aimed to make the knitting process easier for knitters in or after chemo therapy, but it turned out that so many others benefit: People with ADHD, those in grief, the older ones, those with toddlers, those with other illnesses, those who can’t sleep well – generally everyone with concentration issues.’ Ace!
