As part of our annual Mill Open Weekend shenanigans, we always create a limited-edition mini collection of yarn and tops to help celebrate in style. This year we’ve been even more excited than usual, as we’ve been collaborating with some rather fabulous designers! Emily Wessel (Tin Can Knits), Aleks Byrd, and Ysolda Teague-Long have each created custom shades of our beloved Yarnadelic.

We have knitted up some samples using these special shades of Yarnadelic in a few of our favourite designs by Emily, Aleks and Ysolda. We love Aleks’ designs, as she always manages to combine exciting colourwork, with unique motifs, often inspired by her Estonian Heritage. The Saar Vest is a based on an Estonian fisherman sweater made on the island of Kihnu, called a troi sweater, and we think it gloriously shows off contrasting shades of Yarnadelic to a tee!
