The Annual (issue four)
The Annual (issue four) is an opportunity to take a minute and join us for a bit of slow crafting, celebrating some beautiful outdoor spaces in our ‘Cottage Garden’ themed issue.
We are all keen gardeners and nature lovers at the mill, trying to make the most of the fresh spring mornings and lazy summer days, either in our own little gardens, or visiting some of the spectacular ones scattered around the abundant Devon countryside. We’ve chosen to focus on all things horticultural in this issue – whether you are of the romantic cottage garden ‘picnic blanket and a book’ persuasion or the ‘roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty’ school of thought, we hope there is something to pique your interest.
We’ve packed this issue to the brim with even more patterns than ever before (a whopping 7!), as well as inspiring articles, tutorials, puzzles and interviews, including a natural dyeing tutorial from the talented botanical hand dyer, Alice, of Woolmatters and an interview with epic designer, Dee Hardwicke. We hope there’s something for everyone. So grab your copy, head to your favourite nook outside, and take a little time to flip through The Annual, issue four.
Spec: 20cm x 22.5cm, 124 pages.
Speaking of patterns – we are thrilled to have worked with some truly talented artists and designers who all bring something unique to this publication. Whether you’re a crocheter, spinner, or knitter; and whether you’re into lace, cables, colourwork or you just love a good bit of garter stitch, there’s something for everyone and we’re so excited to show you.
